For over 50 years, families have trusted Glendale Montessori School with their children's early education, choosing us generation after generation.

Glendale Montessori School has been the foundation of our children's success, not just academically but as independent, critical thinkers. Our two older boys graduated to elite private schools in Los Angeles and prestigious East Coast colleges, but what truly amazes us is the confidence, curiosity, and resilience GMS instilled in them. As a father of five who have all walked through these doors, I can't say enough about how GMS helped shape them into the extraordinary individuals they are today.

I went to this school for 10 years of my life and it truly made me the person I am today. I had the most devoted and kind teachers that used Montessori methods to teach me independence, critical thinking, and other valuable skills that I still carry with me today. Not to mention many life-long friendships that I've kept and the beautiful, peaceful campus. I'm lucky to have called this place home!

This school was the foundation of my education. I can only hope that my daughter will get the same kind of love of learning that allowed me to excel in high school, college, and grad school. There are many different types of schools and educational models- not every Montessori school does this- but GMS taught me not just how to learn, but how to love it. It wasn't until I spoke with others and went to other schools that I found out not everyone enjoys school and learning. I hope they continue awakening an unquenchable passion for learning in kids for another 50 years and beyond. I am so happy I am able to send my daughters to this school.

Preschool / Kindergarten

Students can start as early as 2.5 years old in our Primary classroom, a mixed-age setting for preschool through kindergarten. In Montessori, this approach builds confidence, encourages peer learning, and supports children's growth at their own pace, fostering independence and community.

Hours: 8-1pm (half day) or 8-3pm (full day) After care available

Elementary

After Kindergarten, many families continue with our elementary program, where Montessori's magic continues. Children explore deeper subjects, develop critical thinking, and build independence, all while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Community

Our families are the heart of our school community. We offer many ways for parents to connect in the classroom and organize monthly family outings to build a strong sense of togetherness.

Nature

Outdoor time is essential for our students, so each day they enjoy a full hour of play on one of our beautiful playgrounds. They also get to have lunch outside, making the most of fresh air and open space.
