A unique feature of Glendale Montessori School is our close-knit community of families.
Due to the size of our school, and because students remain in the same classroom for three years, families develop close and supportive friendships. While we are intentional about cultivating a sense of togetherness, we find that relationships between our families grow organically. Our community becomes an extension of the family.
Our schoolyard is bustling with activity at drop off and pick up times. Many children take part in onsite or nearby after school activities, including a chess club. Parents also organize frequent playgroups.
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for parents—ranging from sharing a special talent in the classroom, to working on the class yearbook or serving as a chaperone on a field trip. There is no volunteer requirement however. Each parent is welcome to engage at her/his comfort level.
