Glendale Montessori School offers a warm and nurturing environment where children, preschool through sixth grade, experience the excitement of learning.
Credentials and Accreditation
Each of our classrooms includes two Montessori credentialed teachers who guide and facilitate learning. Outside of the confines of a traditional classroom, our teachers are able to adjust lessons—presenting the best possible experience for students based on their age, developmental stage and interests.
Glendale Montessori School is accredited by the State Board of Education and licensed by the State of California.
Our Essence
At Glendale Montessori children are given the space to explore subjects and develop their natural abilities on their own timeline.
Our school is intentionally small because we value the personal touch and connection that this fosters with our families. We believe in taking a team approach to education. Altogether, parents, caregivers, school staff and teachers are focused on the development of each individual whole child.
Movement and art are built into our curriculum. Children also learn about caring for one another and our environment.
Our Staff
Our staff is incredibly committed to the Montessori philosophy and methods—something our families value. We respect the whole child—academically, socially and emotionally—and let individuality shine. Because of our Montessori training, we are keen observers and are able to adapt learning to the makeup of each class. We believe that our teachers are a bridge to learning, rather than a focal point of the classroom.
Because of the experience we provide, we’re able to retain excellent staff and attract families seeking a true Montessori approach. We enjoy long-term relationships with our families. It’s incredibly rewarding to see many of our former students return years later with children of their own.

Our Campus
From the front gate of Glendale Montessori, you see a paved schoolyard and the first of our three classroom buildings. What waits beyond are two additional classroom buildings constructed around a serene shared courtyard. The neighboring house has been converted into our Upper Elementary classroom. This is all topped off with an enormous play yard, complete with climbing structures, large shade trees and plenty of play sand for romping and exploring. It is quaint, peaceful and picturesque in the heart of an urban area.
